Hello, Beauties!

It’s the first of November and I was crazy into the Christmas spirit today! I have my Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works burning, Mr. Sinatra crooning carols, and Essie’s new winter collection freshly purchased (excluding one! Couldn’t find it.). I have to admit, the colors didn’t really put me in the “winter wonderland” kind of mood, but they are beautiful nonetheless. When I find the last one, I’ll make a full post about them. :)

I’m in a great mood today and felt like a fresh manicure would make me feel even better. Here it is!

Hits and Misses: October Edition.

Hello, Beauties!

Today I’ll be doing my October Hits and Misses. Yes, I know it’s mid October and I should do it at the end of the month, but I wanted to do it now. :)

This is a new segment that I’ll be doing each month and I’ll be putting both beauty and non-beauty related things.

It’s been a long week…

…Or year and a half if you want to get technical. But I’m back and determined to give this my all.

1. What do you think you can do but can’t? Write. I mean, I CAN write, but for some reason I think I can be a novelist. Truth is, I have good ideas and writing skills, I’m just a huge procrastinator. I wrote two chapters of a book in January 2010…I still only have two chapters. :)

Top 4 Makeup Pet Peeves!

1. Over Bronzed!– Bronzer is great for a sunkissed glow and contoured cheekbones, but apply too much, and you’re in Snooks-ville. Also, please do to your neck what you do for your face!
2. Goopy Lipgloss – LADIES! Do not overdo the lipgloss. Lipgloss is great for some added shine, but don’t expect to get many kisses. Keep it light. One coat is enough for some shine, you don’t need to constantly reapply.
3. Clown Cheeks– Every time I see a woman come in to my job with big rectangles of Rouge on her cheeks, I want to throw a Kabuki at her.
4. Dark Lipliner, Pale Lips – WHY would anyone think that looks good?
